Since Facebook had data concerns in 2018 (Cambridge Analytica), Bumble added the option to create an account with the use of a phone number.
When you go to create an account now, you should have the option to login with a phone number. In the past, the only option was to use a Facebook account.
If you don’t want to have your phone number linked to your Bumble account, you could also create a Facebook account just for dating.
Bumble now joins Tinder & other dating apps now with the non facebook login policy.
